Have you ever wondered what a c-suite leader really thinks of organization design? Have you struggled to influence a leaders’ thinking on organization design? We invite you to join your fellow community members in an engaging conversation with two business leaders who have agreed to share their wisdom and experience. Jeff and Terri are anxious to hear what questions and challenges you have in engaging leaders in org design.
Our format will focus on your inquiries, so please come ready with questions and challenges you wish to discuss. This will be a great opportunity to get some coaching and ideas on how to talk organization design to a leader and build your ability to influence and coach leaders.
Terri is an executive coach and consultant. She founded HumWill LLC to support leaders and teams navigating the complex world we are living in today. She comes to this work from c-suite and senior leadership roles, having created results in both Human Resources and P&L’s. She never loses sight of the importance of people to an organization and the power of authentic leadership to drive sustainable results.
Terri has over 30 years of business management experience in a variety of industries including Insurance, Financial Services, and Retail.
Prior to launching HumWill, Terri spent over 20 years with Nationwide Insurance. Her most recent role was President of Nationwide Growth Solutions, a $1.5B portfolio of diverse business units extending Nationwide Insurance’s reach into new, high growth markets and innovation. She joined Nationwide as SVP of Human Resources at its Excess and Surplus business based in Scottsdale, AZ. She relocated to Columbus, OH in 2003 to lead Enterprise HR, Real Estate, and Aviation as EVP/Chief Administrative Officer for all of Nationwide’s companies. Prior to Nationwide, Terri held numerous positions at American Express, her last as the VP of HR in Phoenix, AZ.
Terri serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Organization Design Forum.
Terri earned her B.A. in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University, her certificate in Executive Coaching from the Hudson Institute, and her ACC accreditation from the International Coaching Federation.
Jeff has spent the last 20 years working with leadership teams and helping them get the most out of their businesses. His experience as an entrepreneur in both owning and leading sizable ventures has given him a unique view on what leads to success for both the company and its people. In addition to his entrepreneurial experiences, he has served as Chief Talent Officer for several world class global organizations and has held senior marketing roles driving strategy, communications, product development, & innovation, along with P&L ownership.
Jeff’s focus today is helping leadership teams install a complete operating system with simple real-world tools to help them achieve the success they desire by:
- Clarifying and simplifying VISION to help the team and organization get 100% on the same page
- Gaining TRACTION with a clear understanding of the discipline and accountability to bring every aspect of that vision to life throughout their business
- Creating a HEALTHY culture with cohesive teams and information flow at every level of the organization
Jeff has served on the board of the Organization Design Forum and the editorial advisory board of Talent Management Magazine. He received his Masters Degree in Organization Development and Analysis from Case Western Reserve University and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Denison University. He is a certified executive coach and is a frequent presenter at conferences focused on leadership alignment and organizational health.
