Organizational Network Analytics – Innovative Tools, Data, and Thinking to Advance Organization Design
Dr. Ben Waber, PhD, Co-Founder and President at Humanyze
Ben deep dives into the use of technology and data to inform both organization design, change and the physical workspace. Grounded in techniques of Organizational Network Analytics (ONA), Ben will showcase how new technologies and advanced data analytics, can inform traditionally qualitative areas of organization design. This will be a fascinating session that will open a lens to the future of organization analysis and design. During his keynote Ben will review their research and the ways ONA can applied to positively impact businesses and their employees. Ben was recently published alongside Ethan Bernstein in the Harvard Business Review discussing one of the applications of Humanyze’s approach in his article, “The Truth About Open Offices“.
Ben is the President and co-founder of Humanyze. He is a visiting scientist at the MIT Media Lab, previously worked as a senior researcher at Harvard Business School, and received his Ph.D. from MIT for his work with Alex “Sandy” Pentland’s Human Dynamics group. Waber’s work has been featured in major media outlets such as Wired, The Economist, and NPR. He has consulted for industry leaders such as LG, McKinsey & Company, and Gartner on technology trends, social networks, and organizational design. His book, People Analytics, was published by the Financial Times Press in 2013.
