The Road to Sustainable Modernization Runs Through Collaborative Redesign:
How One Business Modernized its Operating Model
and Improved Performance
Overcoming a Cluster of Internal/External Challenges

Most businesses today must respond to pressures brought about by new ways of working, data and digital transformation, growth, changing customer expectations, regulatory demands, and evolving delivery channels.  For the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), these pressures, and more (e.g. access, admissions, changing law education programs), compounded by running an outdated operating model created road blocks to performance.

For former Law School Dean and LSAC CEO, Kellye Testy, modernizing LSAC’s operating model quickly while genuinely engaging its staff from the start was a fundamental requirement. Leveraging ON THE MARK’S collaborative approach engaging key stakeholders, customers, its board, and the entire employee population, the redesign took less than one year to complete.

CEO Testy, and Mark LaScola, Managing Principal of ON THE MARK, will take you through an interactive journey of LSAC’s operating model modernization, its challenges, wisdoms, and impacts on the LSAC and the broader law education ecosystem.
