FLOW AT WORK: THE SCIENCE OF ENGAGEMENT AND OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE – by Jared Weintraub & Raviv Turner
Organizational performance – it’s a team sport. The shift from hierarchies to teams is well underway. According to Deloitte’s Global Human Capital Trends 2019, 35% of organizations now operate mostly or almost wholly in teams, with another 65% saying they are mostly hierarchical but with some cross-functional team-based work. Yet, most organizations have not refreshed leadership, job design, and rewards to adapt. Research shows that many leaders do not know how to operate in teams and have yet to adopt the team model of engaging with each other.
In this session, Jared Weintraub, founder of The Flow Group, LLC., an organizational and business development firm, and flow researcher Raviv Turner, former military intelligence officer and high performance team Agile coach, will review the latest development in Flow science and team performance from professional sports teams, to special ops teams, to high performance organizations such as Google, Gore, Patagonia and others.
They will then present Flow OS – a new organizational design framework that is leveraging team psychology, neurobiology, and transformative technology to improve employee engagement, reduce stress and operate at peak performance.
Attendees will learn and practice:
- The preconditions of Flow in the organization;
- Trust building exercises;
- Team intervention protocols and even box breathing;
- Getting into individual flow at the workplace
