Fluid responsiveness and adaptiveness, and organizationl agility, are needed to pivot quickly in response to environmental conditions. The Sense-and-Respond model can support organizations in a VUCA World (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) and in this session we will cover ways to build this into organizations. We’ll take you through some examples of Sense-and-Respond in organizations, beyond the standard ‘product development’ responsiveness, and get into applications within management as well. We’ll explore building sensor and reading signals, responding to those signals, and cultural changes to support Sense-and-Respond. We will end with an exercise to build your own Sense-and-Respond canvas to map out ways to adapt your own organization or experiment with a fictional scenario.
