00:30:42 Andrew Williams: What concepts from "Agile"are relevant? 00:31:12 Andrew Williams: Some that come to mind for me are MVP, and the idea of time-bounding / sprints 00:32:18 John Kelly & Hillary Hermanns: Exactly! I agree totally! 00:36:03 Andrew Williams: McKinsey have written a lot about organizational agility being based on stable processes and systems 00:37:18 Bill Zybach: I have a different perspective on Agile in organizations, not the agile that is from technology, but designing with agile principles into a Star model or systems approach. There is also a cultural difference on this topic between the US and the Western European cultures. 00:38:15 Dawn Newman: A challenge I see is leaders who announce an organization is being redesigned and profess transparency then keep the criteria and design team work “hidden.” Seems like more of a communication issue. What role in design do you recommend for the head of the organization? 00:40:48 Dave Jamieson: I'm more convinced that we can't keep separtating work on parts of the system. So e.g. the high level strategic choices need to be integrated with design work. They need to be coupled, not handled indipendent of one another. 00:54:05 John Kelly & Hillary Hermanns: Karl Marx predicted a century ago that production would become so efficient, that humans wouldn't have to work 40 hours a week. 01:07:35 John Kelly & Hillary Hermanns: Agreed. 01:07:54 John Kelly & Hillary Hermanns: Teaming is the core skill. Both leading and participating. 01:08:59 Andrew Williams: Sue - you are saying hierarchy is the equilibrium? 01:09:45 Dawn Newman: Agreed…Teaming and effective leadership…creating the climate and culture to align with the design. 01:12:22 Bill Zybach: That underlying collaboration that Craig spoke about is one of the cultural differences between Western Europe and the US... 01:12:51 John Kelly & Hillary Hermanns: These calls are extremely valuable. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience! 01:14:29 Dave Jamieson: Thank you for sharing 01:14:30 Michael Gold: Thank you speakers! Very worthwhile 01:14:35 Dawn Newman: Thank you! 01:14:35 Craig McGee: Thanks for all of you joining us!!! 01:14:46 Michael Gold: thank you Tanya
