ODF will host a monthly virtual coffee (or cocktail depending on where you are in the globe) club for people interested in or working in the field.We meet monthly for two to three rounds of participant-led breakouts to chat about topics of special interest to practitioners.Would you want to join? Topic: Working with What The Client HasConsulting budgets are tighter this year, and the appetite for big transformations — while arguably more necessary than ever — is waning. This month we’ll talk about working with what the client has, both in terms of appetite and budget, and what it means to meet them where they are.  Context: Across sectors, buyers of Organization Design services (internal and external) are generally more reluctant than they have been in recent memory. Where organizations took on big transformations, they now want smaller designs — of departments, teams, or top-lines. They still want to know how to relieve cost pressures, manage complexity, and build for the future, but they want it with minimal engagement, over a tight timeline, and without implementation support.  Action: Let’s explore how we’re handling this as individuals from where we sit, whether internal or external, working in corporate or in the social sector, with big orgs or small ones, and as a field. To those who are still busy doing the big transformations, come and share what that’s like in this environment, as well.
