There are several powerful and insightful tools now available to you as an organization design practitioner if you have access to a budget and sufficient time to invest in acquiring and implementing them.  We will discuss how to use readily available tools like value chains, role maps and simple spreadsheets to capture and analyze organization data to reveal opportunities and make informed design decisions.

Dennis Hutchison is a Sr. Organization Design Advisor at Chevron Energy.  Dennis and his colleagues serve as internal organization design consultants to Chevron’s business unit leaders from across the enterprise to drive organization effectiveness and efficiencies.   Dennis has led numerous project teams through the organization design process, from developing operating models to delivering the detailed design to activate the operating model.
