In this interactive, hands-on workshop, participants will learn:
- The underlying principles, theories and models for engaging the whole system.
- How to apply this thinking to the design and facilitation of workshops and meetings at any scale.
- The “secret sauce” behind engaging the entire system (regardless of how big or small) in a way that builds ownership and head and heart commitment.
- Whole system engagement tools for topics ranging from strategy development and deployment to structure and process redesign; to community planning; and culture change.
About Paul Tolchinsky: Dr. Tolchinsky has extensive experience with major corporations around the world over the past forty years in managing large system change efforts. Paul has championed Real Time Work Design (Bunker and Alban, Jossey Bass, 1997), an approach to organization design that involves the whole systems (often up to 800-1,000 employees at a time). Whole-Scale™ Change technology, which Paul also co-pioneered, is mentioned in Fusion Leadership (Daft and Lengel, Berrett Koehler, 1998); The Change Handbook (Holman and DeVane, 1999 and 2005); and two books on Large Group Methods entitled: Unleashing the Magic in Organizations: The Whole-Scale Approach and Unleashing the Magic: A Toolkit (Dannemiller, Tolchinsky, et al, 2000). He has been an invited speaker and guest lecturer in Europe, Australia, India, Brazil, Singapore Russia. Dr. Tolchinsky’s recent work focuses on accelerating the rate of change in organizations. He has pioneered the use of Large-Scale Interactive Processes, and whole system thinking to create and deploy strategy, design new organizations, and improve existing work processes and structures.
