Commons refers to resources that are collectively owned and available to members of the organization. In digital socio-technical design commons usually refers to information that facilitates self-organization and high performance. Digitally shared information provides an up-to-date picture of problems and opportunities in the organization’s environment as well as the current availability of resources to address those problems and opportunities. Digitally shared information is widely available to organization members in their decision-making.
