Behind the Curtain
(Part 1)
We are offering a short series that goes beyond ‘building’ and into ‘operating,’ learning how an internal Organization Design capability works in practice across distinct organizations. Featured guests will answer a set of core questions so you’re getting the opportunity to see how different companies are leveraging in-house OD/OE capabilities.
Facilitated by Blake Bowersock, this first community conversation will explore how a large insurance company has designed their internal Organization Design & Effectiveness Center of Expertise. Mary Selden of State Farm Insurance will, share her experiences as an internal OD Consultant who helped define and refine State Farm’s internal OD/OE capability for the last four years. She’ll share practical tips and learnings on building strong reputations with business leaders, working with other internal specialists and HR generalists, how the team scaled and grew, and how they overcame the common challenges of standing up a new capability.![]()
There will be time for open Q&A at the end of each spotlight, in addition to interactive polls and moderated chat, to maximize engagement and participation.
