Organization Design ‘Coffee to Cocktails Club’ – December
Tuesday, December 16th | 11AM – 12PM (EST)
(third Tuesdays)
Join Brandon Curry, ODF Engagement Team Volunteer
Let’s talk all things Organization Design! ODF will host a monthly virtual coffee (or cocktail depending on where you are in the globe) club for people interested in or working in the field.
We meet monthly for two to three rounds of participant-led breakouts to chat about topics of special interest to practitioners.
December Topic: From Intent to Design Criteria
The transition from high-level Strategic Intent to concrete Design Criteria is a critical — and often challenging — phase of delivering effective organization design work. It is the pivot point where we must translate aspirations into design specifications, ensuring we are designing for the future capabilities the business needs rather than simply reacting to today’s pain points. Design failures are rarely a result of a single structure choice; they are caused by a lack of or poorly defined criteria. By discussing how we navigate what can be vague strategies and misaligned leadership teams, we move beyond theory and accelerate our development to deliver business value through designs that ensure problems are solved before the lines are drawn.
